I always vote, even in the elections where there is only a single item on the ballot, like today. Residents of my city were voting for three new members of the school board. It's important to have one's say during this time of cutbacks in California. But I think the real reason I vote in every election is because I have the freedom as an American to do it. Spending time in countries with people who do not have the freedom to vote gave me a whole new perspective on exercising my rights and enjoying my freedom. Did you vote today?
